Serving with a Willing Heart
Scripture:
“Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people.” (Ephesians 6:7, NIV)
Message:
True service comes from a heart that is willing and surrendered to God. It is not about recognition, obligation, or pleasing people—it is about honoring God and advancing His kingdom. A willing heart serves with joy, knowing that every act of service, no matter how small, is valuable in God’s eyes.
Jesus set the greatest example of servanthood when He washed His disciples’ feet (John 13:12-17). Though He was the Son of God, He humbled Himself to serve others, teaching us that greatness in the kingdom is found in serving. When we serve with a willing heart, we reflect Christ’s love, inspire others, and fulfill God’s purpose for our lives.
Serving is not limited to the church; it extends to our homes, workplaces, and communities. A kind word, a helping hand, a listening ear—these simple acts, when done with love, bring glory to God. He is looking for hearts that say, “Lord, use me.” Are you willing?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege of serving You. Give me a willing heart that finds joy in helping others. Teach me to serve with humility, love, and excellence, knowing that I am serving You in all I do. May my life reflect the heart of Jesus. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
