When Delay is Not Denial
Scripture:
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” (Habakkuk 2:3, KJV)
Message:
Waiting can be difficult, especially when we are praying and believing for something that hasn’t happened yet. In those moments, it’s easy to feel like God has forgotten us or that He has said “no” to our requests. But delay is not the same as denial.
God works according to His perfect timing, not ours. Abraham and Sarah waited for the promised child, Joseph endured years of hardship before reaching the palace, and David was anointed king long before he sat on the throne. In each case, the delay was part of God’s preparation, not a rejection of His promise.
If you are in a season of waiting, don’t lose heart. God is working behind the scenes, aligning things for your good. Use this time to grow in faith, develop patience, and trust in His unfailing plan. What He has promised will come to pass at the appointed time.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for reminding me that delay is not denial. Help me to trust in Your timing and remain steadfast in faith. I know that what You have promised will come to pass in due season. Strengthen me as I wait. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
