New Wine After the Crushing
Scripture Focus:
“Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” — Matthew 9:17 (NIV)
Before wine can be poured, there must be a crushing. The grapes are pressed, bruised, and broken—but the process is purposeful. In God’s hands, your crushing seasons are never wasted. They are preparing you for something new—something greater.
The pain you’ve walked through, the pressure you’ve endured, and the pruning you’ve faced are all signs that God is creating something fresh in you. He’s preparing you for the new wine—fresh anointing, deeper purpose, and expanded influence.
But new wine requires new wineskins. That means transformation, humility, and surrender. You can’t carry the next move of God with yesterday’s mindset. As you yield, He renews you. As you trust, He fills you.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the crushing seasons that prepare me for more. Help me release the old and embrace the new. Make me ready to carry the new wine of Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
