Laughter is My Portion
Scripture:
“He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouting.” — Job 8:21 (ESV)
As a child of God, you are not called to live a life of heaviness or sorrow, but a life full of joy, glory, and divine laughter. The joy of the Lord is your strength, and that joy flows from a well of victory that Christ has already secured for you.
In Genesis 21:6, Sarah declared, “God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me.” Her words were not mere expressions of happiness but a proclamation of divine intervention. The laughter she spoke of was birthed from a fulfilled promise—one that had once seemed impossible. Her life was once a subject of pity, but when God stepped in, the narrative changed. That is the kind of laughter God brings—a laughter that testifies, a laughter that echoes God’s faithfulness.
The Lord delights in bringing His children into seasons where their mouths are filled with laughter. It’s not just about humor; it’s a supernatural expression of triumph. Laughter in the Spirit is a prophetic sign of divine restoration, breakthrough, and the lifting of burdens.
You may have endured seasons of silence, of pain, or of waiting, but the Word of the Lord to you today is: “Your season of laughter has come.” What once made you cry will now cause you to rejoice. That same area where you experienced delay will soon become your loudest testimony.
When God fills your mouth with laughter, it silences the voice of the enemy. It cancels out years of shame, regret, and disappointment. Divine laughter is not ordinary—it’s loaded with the fragrance of fulfillment. Your laughter will draw attention not to you, but to the greatness of your God.
Confession:
I declare that laughter is my portion! I am full of joy, full of praise, and full of glory. I laugh because I know the victory is mine. Every sorrow is turned into joy, every tear into triumph. The Lord has done great things for me, and I rejoice in Him continually. Hallelujah!
