ABUNDANCE THAT GLORIFIES GOD

Scripture Reading

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Message

God is not against abundance; He is concerned with what we do with what He places in our hands. Biblical abundance is not simply having more possessions—it is having enough grace, wisdom, resources, and capacity to fulfill God’s purpose and become a blessing to others.

God blessed Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but their greatest wealth was not their possessions. Their lives were connected to God’s covenant and purpose. In the same way, whatever God gives us should ultimately point people back to Him.

Abundance becomes meaningful when it is managed with wisdom, integrity, gratitude, and generosity. God can entrust resources to someone who will use them responsibly—to provide for their household, support the work of the Gospel, help people in need, develop meaningful work, and create opportunities for others.

Jesus taught us to seek God’s kingdom first. This means our relationship with God must remain more important than our pursuit of money. We should never allow financial success to become the measure of our worth or the center of our lives.

Perhaps God is increasing your capacity before increasing your resources. He may be teaching you discipline, financial wisdom, diligence, contentment, and generosity. These qualities prepare you to handle abundance without allowing abundance to control you.

Today, ask God not merely for more, but for the wisdom to steward more. Ask Him to bless the work of your hands and make your life a channel through which His goodness reaches others.

Confession

God is my source, and I seek His kingdom above everything else.
I receive wisdom to manage every resource He places in my hands.
I walk in integrity, diligence, gratitude, generosity, and contentment.
My increase will serve God’s purpose, bless others, and bring glory to His Name. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Prayer

Father, thank You for every blessing You have placed in my life. Give me wisdom and discipline to steward them faithfully. Increase my capacity to give, serve, create value, and help others. Keep my heart devoted to You rather than to material things. Let every form of abundance in my life become an instrument for Your glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
