THE LORD IS MY PROVIDER

Scripture Reading

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

Message

The Lord is your Provider. He is not limited by the condition of the economy, the size of your income, or the resources currently available to you. He knows what you need, and He is faithful to sustain you according to His perfect will.

David declared, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” A shepherd takes responsibility for the care and well-being of the sheep. In the same way, God invites us to trust His care while faithfully fulfilling our own responsibilities.

God’s provision may come through your work, your business, your skills, a new opportunity, wise relationships, or unexpected channels. Sometimes His provision is financial; at other times, it is wisdom, strength, peace, favor, or the right opportunity at the right time.

However, trusting God as your Provider does not mean becoming passive. Faith works. We are called to work diligently, plan wisely, develop our abilities, steward our resources, and make responsible decisions. We do our part while recognizing that God remains our ultimate source.

When resources seem insufficient, don’t allow fear to become your master. Bring your needs before God, ask Him for wisdom, and remain faithful with what is already in your hands. The same God who provided for Elijah, multiplied the widow’s oil, and fed thousands through Jesus is still faithful today.

Your source is greater than your current circumstance.

Confession

The Lord is my Provider and my Shepherd.
I trust Him to supply what I need according to His perfect will.
He gives me wisdom to work, create, manage, and steward my resources faithfully.
I will not be ruled by fear or anxiety.
My confidence is in God, and my life will testify of His faithfulness. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Prayer

Father, thank You for being my faithful Provider. Teach me to trust You completely while being diligent and responsible with everything You have placed in my hands. Give me wisdom for my finances, work, business, and decisions. Open the right doors and provide what I need according to Your perfect purpose. Let my life continually testify that You are faithful. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
