THE GOD WHO SETTLES MATTERS
Scripture
“And the LORD shall perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.”
— Psalm 138:8 (KJV)
There are some matters you can solve with money.
There are some matters you can solve with connections.
There are some matters you can solve through knowledge and hard work.
But there are matters that require divine intervention.
There are situations you have done everything you know to do, yet the matter remains unresolved.
You have prayed about it.
You have talked about it.
You have tried to fix it.
You have waited.
And still, nothing seems settled.
But today, remember this:
The Lord is able to perfect what concerns you.
David did not say, “I will perfect everything that concerns me.”
He said:
“The LORD shall perfect that which concerneth me.”
There is a place where human effort ends and trust in God begins.
Consider Abraham. God gave him a promise, but the fulfillment required years of waiting.
Consider Joseph. His destiny was clear, but his circumstances became complicated. He passed through betrayal, slavery, and prison before the purpose of God became visible.
Consider Ruth. She entered Bethlehem as a widow with an uncertain future, but God arranged circumstances that eventually brought restoration and a new beginning.
What looked unfinished was not forgotten.
God was working.
Sometimes God settles a matter by changing the circumstance.
Sometimes He settles it by changing you.
Sometimes He gives you an opportunity.
Sometimes He gives you wisdom.
Sometimes He closes a door that would have harmed you.
And sometimes He gives you peace even before the situation changes.
Whatever His method, you can trust His wisdom.
The Bible says:
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
— 1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)
You don’t have to carry tomorrow today.
Take the matter to God.
Do your part faithfully.
Then leave room for Him to work.
The God who started the process is able to bring it to completion.
CONFESSION
I declare that the Lord is perfecting everything that concerns me.
I release every unresolved matter into His hands.
I will not allow anxiety to control my thoughts. I will not allow fear to determine my decisions.
I receive wisdom for what I must do and grace to surrender what I cannot control.
God is bringing order into my affairs according to His will.
He is settling what needs to be settled, completing what needs to be completed, and giving me grace to walk peacefully through every season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

PRAYER
Father, I commit every unresolved matter into Your hands.
You know the situations that have caused me concern. You know the things I cannot fix by my own strength.
Give me wisdom concerning my responsibilities and grace to trust You with the things beyond my control.
Let Your peace rule my heart while You work.
Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where there is uncertainty, bring direction. Where there is lack, provide according to Your will. Where there is an unfinished matter, give grace for completion.
Perfect that which concerns me, Lord, and let the outcome bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
