THE END OF DRY SEASONS
SCRIPTURE
Isaiah 43:19 (KJV)
“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
RECOGNISE YOUR SEASON OF NEWNESS
A dry season is not the end of your story. There are times when progress appears slow, opportunities seem scarce, and the results of your labour do not match your expectations. Yet, God’s ability to work is never determined by the conditions surrounding you.
In Isaiah 43:19, God declares His ability to make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. The wilderness represents a place where the natural possibilities appear limited, while the desert speaks of conditions that seem incapable of producing life. God reveals Himself as the One who can bring forth new possibilities where human strength reaches its limits.
However, notice His instruction: “Behold, I will do a new thing.” He calls His people to recognise His work rather than remain imprisoned by the memories of former difficulties. Sometimes, the fear of repeated disappointment prevents people from recognising new opportunities. God’s Word renews your perspective and teaches you to respond to the future with faith and wisdom.
Your responsibility is to remain attentive to His leading. Continue growing spiritually, develop your abilities, work diligently, and make wise use of the resources available to you. Do not allow discouragement to make you abandon the very responsibilities through which growth can come.
Remember, a change of season does not always happen instantly. Seeds require time to grow, and lasting progress often involves preparation, patience, and consistent action. Even while you wait for visible change, God can strengthen your character, deepen your understanding, and prepare you for new responsibilities.
Therefore, do not build your identity around a difficult season. Let God’s Word establish your confidence, and let His wisdom direct your steps. The God who makes rivers flow in the desert is able to guide you through difficult circumstances and lead you into renewed fruitfulness.
CONFESSION
God is my strength and my confidence. I refuse to be defined by past disappointments or present difficulties. My mind is renewed by His Word, and I receive wisdom to recognise new opportunities. I remain faithful, diligent, and hopeful as I follow His direction. My life will bear fruit to the glory of Jesus Christ. Amen.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank You because my circumstances do not limit Your wisdom or power. Open my eyes to recognise the opportunities before me.
