BROKENNESS BEFORE GOD
Scripture Reading
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.”
— Psalm 51:17 (KJV)
Message
Brokenness before God is not a sign of weakness but of surrender. It is the posture of a heart that recognizes its complete dependence on God and willingly submits to His will. Throughout Scripture, God consistently drew near to those who humbled themselves before Him.
True brokenness is not about despair or condemnation. It is about allowing God to remove pride, self-reliance, and every barrier that hinders intimacy with Him. A broken heart is soft, teachable, and ready to be shaped by the Master’s hand.
David understood the value of brokenness after his repentance. Instead of hiding from God, he came before Him with humility, knowing that God’s mercy was greater than his failures. God honored his repentance and restored him.
Revival begins with brokenness. Before God pours out His power, He prepares our hearts. When we humble ourselves, confess our sins, and seek His face, He forgives, restores, and renews us. His grace flows most freely into hearts that are fully yielded to Him.
Do not be afraid to bring your weaknesses, struggles, and failures before God. He does not reject a repentant heart. Instead, He heals the broken, restores the weary, and strengthens those who trust in Him.
Today, lay everything before the Lord. Let Him search your heart, remove whatever does not please Him, and mold you into a vessel fit for His glory.

Father, I come before You with a humble and surrendered heart. Search me and reveal anything that is not pleasing to You. Remove every trace of pride, self-reliance, and disobedience.
