GROWING IN GRACE AND PROSPERITY

Scripture Reading

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”
2 Peter 3:18 (KJV)

Message

God desires growth in every area of our lives. Spiritual growth should be at the center of our journey, while wisdom, character, relationships, work, and responsible stewardship can also develop as we mature.

The Bible teaches us to grow in grace. Grace is not merely God’s unmerited favor toward us; it is also the divine enablement that helps us become more like Christ. As we grow in our knowledge of Jesus, our faith becomes stronger, our character becomes more mature, and our lives increasingly reflect His love.

Prosperity, when understood biblically, is broader than financial wealth. It includes well-being, fruitfulness, wisdom, productive work, healthy relationships, and having the resources necessary to fulfill God’s purposes. God wants us to prosper in ways that honor Him rather than becoming controlled by the pursuit of material things.

A healthy life of prosperity begins on the inside. Before asking God for greater resources, ask Him for greater wisdom to manage them. Before seeking greater influence, develop greater character. Before praying for larger opportunities, become faithful with the opportunities already in your hands.

Joseph is an excellent example. His journey involved years of preparation before his position of influence. Through every stage, God developed his character, wisdom, leadership, and capacity. When greater responsibility came, he was prepared for it.

Do not compare your growth with someone else’s journey. Growth takes time. Keep learning, keep praying, keep working diligently, and keep walking with Christ. What God is developing in you today may prepare you for the opportunities of tomorrow.

Confession

I am growing daily in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
My wisdom, character, skills, and capacity are increasing.
I prosper according to God’s purpose and steward every blessing faithfully.
I refuse to be controlled by material things; Christ remains my greatest treasure.
My growth produces fruit that blesses others and glorifies God. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
