ABUNDANCE THAT WILL NOT RUN DRY

Scripture Reading

“And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah.”

Message

There is a difference between receiving a temporary supply and experiencing God’s sustaining provision. The widow of Zarephath had only a small amount of flour and oil, yet when she obeyed God’s instruction through Elijah, her supply did not run out during the famine.

This story reminds us that God’s provision is not limited by what we can see in our hands. When circumstances appear uncertain, God can sustain us through resources that seem insufficient.

However, the miracle was not simply about getting more. It was also about obedience, faith, and stewardship. The widow used what she had faithfully, and God sustained her through the difficult season.

Sometimes we ask God for abundance while overlooking the resources already available to us. We may have skills we have not developed, opportunities we have not pursued, ideas we have not acted upon, or resources we have not managed wisely.

Ask God to open your eyes to what is already in your hands.

Abundance that does not run dry is not necessarily a promise that you will never experience financial difficulty. Rather, it is confidence that God remains faithful through every season and can provide the wisdom, strength, opportunities, and resources necessary for His purposes.

There may be seasons of abundance and seasons of restraint. In both, God can teach us contentment, discipline, generosity, and dependence on Him.

Don’t build your confidence on the size of your bank account. Build it on the faithfulness of your God.

He is your source.

Confession

The Lord is my Provider and my source.
I will not be ruled by fear of scarcity.
God gives me wisdom to recognize, develop, and steward the resources already in my hands.
He provides what I need according to His perfect will.
My supply is sustained by His grace, and I will remain faithful in every season.
My abundance will bless others and bring glory to God. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Prayer

Father, thank You for being my unfailing Provider. When my resources seem small, give me wisdom to recognize what You have already placed in my hands. Teach me to steward it faithfully, work diligently, and trust You completely. Sustain me through every difficult season and give me grace to remain generous when I have abundance. Let my life become a testimony of Your unfailing provision. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Your supply may look small, but God’s faithfulness is limitless. When you trust Him and steward what you have wisely, you can face tomorrow with confidence rather than fear.
