ENDING IN OVERFLOW

Scripture Reading

“And my cup runneth over.”
Psalm 23:5 (KJV)

Message

God is not only interested in bringing us through difficult seasons; He is able to lead us into seasons of overflow. David’s declaration, “my cup runneth over,” is a beautiful picture of a life experiencing the goodness, provision, and faithfulness of God.

Overflow means having more than enough for the assignment God has given you. It is not merely about financial abundance. It can be an overflow of peace after a season of anxiety, strength after weakness, wisdom after confusion, joy after sorrow, and provision after lack.

Sometimes we become so focused on what we are still waiting for that we forget to recognize what God has already done. But gratitude changes our perspective. When we look back, we can often see that God sustained us through moments we thought would destroy us.

The journey may have included pressure, uncertainty, sacrifice, and waiting, but God has been faithful through it all.

The final stage of a season should not only be about receiving—it should also be about stewarding. When God brings increase, handle it with wisdom. When your cup overflows, don’t waste the overflow. Save, build, give, invest in people, support good works, and prepare for the future.

Your overflow should become someone else’s testimony.

Joseph’s wisdom during years of abundance preserved lives during famine. The early believers shared what they had so that people within their community were cared for. In both examples, abundance became a tool for impact.

As you come to the end of this season, don’t simply ask God for more. Thank Him for what He has already done and ask Him to make you a faithful steward of what is coming.

You are not ending empty.

You are ending with grace, wisdom, experience, strength, and hope.

And whatever God places in your hands, may it overflow into the lives of others.

Confession

My cup is overflowing with the goodness of God.
I am grateful for every provision, opportunity, lesson, and victory He has given me.
I receive greater wisdom and capacity to steward increase faithfully.
I will not waste my overflow; I will use it to build, serve, give, and bless others.
My life will remain a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
I am ending this season stronger, wiser, and more fruitful than I began. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Prayer

Father, thank You for bringing me through every season. Thank You for sustaining me when I had little and strengthening me when I felt weak. Let my cup overflow with Your peace, wisdom, grace, provision, and joy. Give me the discipline to steward every increase well and the generosity to use my overflow to bless others. Let the next season of my life be marked by greater fruitfulness, purpose, and impact. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
