Living for Eternity, Not Just Today
Scripture:
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” (Colossians 3:2, NIV)
Message:
Many people live only for the present—seeking temporary success, wealth, and pleasure—without considering the reality of eternity. As believers, we are called to live with an eternal perspective, making choices that align with God’s kingdom rather than just the fleeting concerns of this world.
Jesus reminded us to store up treasures in heaven, where they will never fade (Matthew 6:19-20). This means investing in our relationship with God, walking in obedience, serving others, and fulfilling His purpose for our lives. Our time on earth is temporary, but the impact we make for Christ will last forever.
Every decision we make—how we love, serve, and share the gospel—matters for eternity. When we live with heaven in mind, we find true fulfillment and peace, knowing that our lives are anchored in something greater than just today.
Prayer:
Father, help me to live with an eternal mindset. Teach me to seek Your kingdom first and to invest in what truly matters. May my life bring You glory and make a lasting impact for eternity. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
